The Lab

You make it to the lab where the explosion took place. You were sent in the hope that you can uncover what happened there, as the last person who went in to investigate never reported back. There are local rumors of a beast lurking inside, but no one has any evidence. You steel yourself and enter.

This is my submission for GBJAM 12. The Lab is a classic horror game made using GB Studio. As far as I know, this is a Slenderman-like game. It can be played on original Game Boy hardware or emulated. Find all the items to uncover what happened in the lab, and discover all 6 possible endings!

The game was made in 3 days for the jam (I didn’t have much free time, but I tried). I challenged myself to use a top-down perspective, something I haven’t done before, as I usually prefer to work on turn-based games.(post jam notice - check the devlog for more info on what change after.) 

Controls:
Keyboard   ->  Gameboy
        Z            ->          A                    (use in dialogues)
        X           ->          B                     (use to sprint)
    Arrows for movement
     Enter       ->       Start

I highly suggest to download the rom and play it on BGB. The sound emulation is far better that way.
